Check your phone
Two quick checks tell you if your phone can use a Tern eSIM.
Do this on the phone that will use the eSIM.
1. Does it support eSIM?
Dial *#06# — if an EID number appears, your phone supports eSIM.
Or open Settings → General → About and look for EID.
2. Is it unlocked?
Open Settings → General → About. Carrier Lock should show “No SIM restrictions”.
What your result means
- EID found and unlocked: you can buy an eSIM. Browse destinations
- No EID: this phone can't use an eSIM.
- Locked: ask your carrier to unlock it first.
Why we check the phone itself
The same model can come with or without eSIM, depending on where it was sold. For example, iPhones sold in mainland China have no eSIM.
